A bypass ring wraps rather than closes — the two ends pass each other in a graceful open spiral — and this designer piece uses the form to stage a small drama in gold. Signed “CB” and built in 18K solid yellow gold, it sets 70 natural pavé diamonds along the sweep, punctuates them with four natural rubies, and lands the whole composition on a single gleaming 9.46mm pearl. It’s a lot of jewelry working in concert: the diamonds for line and light, the rubies for warmth, the pearl for a soft, luminous full stop.
