☉
A large caged statement brooch in a silver rhodium finish: an open-work mosaic of baby blue rhinestone — a color Trifari rarely used — overlaid with a palm frond of crystal baguettes and finished with a halo of crystal chatons. The construction is the whole argument for costume jewelry as a serious form. Had Cartier built this in platinum and filled it with real stones, the price would be in another universe entirely; Trifari built it to be worn. It is signed with the Crown Trifari mark and a copyright. Excellent vintage condition, with only a few of the blue stones showing minor aging of color. It measures 2 1/8 inches wide by 3 1/8 inches tall.
