Carved Translucent Amber Red "Connomex" Bakelite Wide Bracelet

Translucent amber red Bakelite of the type known as Connomex, heavily carved by hand and worked the whole way around rather than patterned on the surface. Held to the light it reads almost like glass, which is what separates the translucent stock from the opaque and why carvers saved their best work for it. It is unsigned, as carved Bakelite generally is, and was tested with Simichrome with a strong positive reaction. A size 7.5, measuring 2 3/8 inches from inside edge to inside edge, and a full 1.5 inches wide across the band. Excellent condition, and one of a kind by the nature of hand carving.
