Carved Green & Blue Bakelite Pineapple Design Wide Bracelet

Green and blue Bakelite, carved deep in a pineapple pattern and worked by hand — the crosshatch is cut rather than pressed, which is what gives it the shadow it has. Two-color Bakelite is harder to find than single, and a wide bangle carved this heavily is harder still. It is unsigned, as almost all carved Bakelite is, and was tested with Simichrome with a strong positive reaction. A size 7.75, measuring 2.5 inches from inside edge to inside edge, and a full 1.5 inches wide across the band. Excellent condition, and one of a kind by the nature of hand carving.
