On this piece
Mint, tagged, and very possibly the only one left in the world in this condition. This 1960s Crown Trifari link bracelet comes from the coveted Jewels of India collection — the house’s second great romance with Mughal color — and it survives new-old-stock, hang tag still attached, as if it never left the counter. Ten panels of gold-plate carry Trifari’s imported swirl glass cabochons in emerald green, finished with red and crystal accents, the whole thing supple and substantial across the wrist. Collectors speak of pieces that “belong in a museum”; this is one of the rare times the phrase is literal, because a sixty-year-old costume piece this untouched almost never appears. Age has taken nothing from it. For the collector who wants not just a great design but a great design in impossible condition, this is the one — sealed time, worn on the arm.
