On this piece
The Enchantress collection is among the most chased of all 1960s Trifari, particularly the pieces using the pink and green swirled "flawed" imported glass cabochons, and within that collection this buckle-style choker is the hardest of all to find. Fine gold-plated mesh, a pavé crystal rhinestone lightning bolt across the buckle clasp, and a slider pendant filled with those cabochons. One caution worth stating plainly: 1960s necklines were not modern ones. This is a true choker, and although the total length is 15 inches, the four riveted holes fix the fit at roughly 11.5 to 13 inches, which is a small or petite neckline. The mesh portion is 7/8 inch wide; the buckle slider is 2 inches wide and 1 7/8 inches tall. Signed with the Crown Trifari mark and a copyright on the reverse of the buckle, and again on the reverse of the slider. Excellent vintage condition.
