On this piece

Emerald green, laid three stones deep and held by nothing you can see. This 1950 Crown Trifari link bracelet is an Alfred Philippe Art Deco design built on the house’s most demanding technique — invisibly-set glass, the stones grooved beneath and slotted into hidden channels, here in rows of three emerald-green rhinestones framed on both sides by pavé crystal. Don’t miss the clasp: even it is covered in invisibly-set stones, the mark of a maker who refused to leave any surface ordinary. The gold-plated finish carries a glossy glow, and the green and crystal blaze with the color these pieces are famous for. It’s in excellent vintage condition. Invisible setting was the peak of costume craftsmanship, achieved by only a handful of houses; that Trifari did it in a full flexible bracelet, clasp and all, is exactly why collectors prize the form. Deco geometry, seamless color, and craft you feel in the hand.
