On this piece

Trifari made very few sterling necklaces, and almost all of them come from the early 1940s, when wartime restrictions on base metals pushed the house into silver. Those pieces are among the most prized things a Trifari collector can find, and this is one: a double snake-chain lariat in vermeil over sterling, hung with graduated baby blue oval rhinestones that carry the eye straight down the line. It is signed with the Trifari mark and Sterling on the clasp. The necklace is 16 inches long, with a 3.25-inch drop from the top of the lariat. Excellent vintage condition, every stone in place and the vermeil still looking wonderful.
