☉
The companion to the citrine fish, and the same 1940s Trifari figural in vermeil over sterling — from the war years, when restrictions on base metals pushed the house into sterling and into some of its finest work. Here the center is Trifari's very rare hexagon glass in sapphire blue, with pavé crystal rhinestones and faux pearls for the bubbles and a single ruby red cabochon for the eye. It is marked with the Crown Trifari mark and the Sterling mark on the reverse, and measures 2 3/8 inches wide by 1 1/8 inches tall. Remarkable collector's vintage condition.
