☉
A fish trailing bubbles, in vermeil over sterling — one of the 1940s figurals Trifari made during the war years, when restrictions on base metals pushed the house into sterling and, as it turned out, into some of its finest work. The center is Trifari's very rare hexagon citrine glass in a golden amber, the bubbles are pavé crystal rhinestones and faux pearls, and a single ruby red rhinestone serves as the eye. It is marked with the Crown Trifari mark and the Sterling mark on the reverse, and measures 2 3/8 inches wide by 1 1/8 inches tall. Remarkable collector's vintage condition.
